Programs

Creative Colfax is a program being developed by The FAX Partnership.

Seeking to promote and enhance the economic and collaborative potential of businesses that are in the creative industries on The FAX corridor. From tats to tapestries, furniture crafts to framing, research to retail, creative endeavors are alive and well in The FAX

Partnership corridor.
Neighborhoods adjacent to The FAX include, Park Hill, Bellevue-Hale, Mayfair, Historic Montclair, East Montclair, and nearby communities Lowry and Stapleton are all part of the creative class of: entrepreneurs, engineers, doctors, designers, financers, architects, artists, musicians, and the like.

The knowledge sectors are fast growing, and the creative class is highly educated, generally well paid, and now includes more than 40 million Americans. Capitalizing on the existing creative and scientific dynamism along The Fax can be a catalyst for new development and economic investment. Further, it can provide an economic underpinning that supports and connects districts along the corridor. The FAX corridor is inherently an entrepreneurial incubator—new businesses responding to emerging cultural, social and market trends are
constantly springing up.

Also needed are “third places”—intermediate spaces that go beyond a coffee house or hotel lobby. Places that can be used for business meetings, alternative work spaces, and work team activities need to be developed. The FAX can be a key location for these new “third places.”Scientific and educational institutions contribute significantly to the creative economy. National Jewish Hospital and Medical Center, Johnson and Wales University, Denver School of the Arts, and public and private pre-K-20 schools are all part of the mix. In close proximity are community college campuses, the hospital district, the planned bioscience center center at Stapleton, and the Anschutz Campus at Fitzsimons.
